About This Role 

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and organized Packaging and Fulfillment Technician to join our company, and to provide support for our production, inventory management and fulfillment activities. Experience working in a manufacturing or fulfillment environment is desired. The Technician will balance time between picking orders received through leaflink or inflow, shipping THC Orders by creating manifests for transfers within METRC, fulfill CBD orders both wholesale and online sales and weekly auditing final inventory of materials with Leaflink. Technicians will work closely with the Scheduling Department and the API Room to ensure successful and accurate product transfers. In addition, this role will also work with accounting department as well as transportation companies both within METRC and traditional freight. The Technician will ensure items are being packaged according to planned schedules and orders are being fulfilled and shipped in a timely manner. Technicians will work with inventory tracking software INFLOW, the state compliance software METRC and the THC ordering software Leaflink. As with all MBAF LLC employees you may be moved to assist with other tasks as needed.  

 
Other Responsibilities may include: 

  • Palletizing orders for weekly / monthly shipments 
  • Ensure the department maintains a clean working environment. 
  • Sanitize workstation and tools. 
  • Properly preparing paperwork for transfers and completing work orders. 
  • Ensuring all product weights, containers, and jars are accounted for. 
  • Notifies supervisor of any product issues including damage or contamination 
  • Following General SOPs, Storage SOPs, Gramming and Boxing SOPs and Fulfillment SOPs. 
  • Communicates any performance or fulfillment concerns to supervisor.  
  • Tracking Monthly Orders Received and Shipped. 
  • Daily checking on Inflow and Leaflink for orders receive and picking of orders. 
  • Work diligently to ship orders within 24 hours of acceptance.  
  • Fill and assemble pre rolls, concentrates, and vapes. 
  • Online Order Fulfillment for CBD items. 
  • METRC fulfillment for THC transfers. 
  • Coordinating with Transportation, creating manifests and assembling invoices for order shipping. 
  • Shipping of non METRC items through normal distribution channels.  
  • Weekly Audits of Inventory versus Leaflink Listed Inventory 
  • Ensuring all materials leaving are compliantly labeled to meet state and national standards for THC or CBD products.

  • Working knowledge of state and local regulations and guidelines

Job Description 

The Production Team Member is responsible for multifunctional support of production and packaging of our infused products. The Marijuana Production Team Member will work with the Team to meet production demands, maintain compliance with the kitchen schedule, and ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment. Day-to-day tasks include prepping, cleaning, cooking, labeling, packaging and operating production and packaging machinery. Produce and package products in accordance with the State of MI requirements, CGMP Requirements and standards set by Made By A Farmer. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and package all products in a sanitary and timely manner. 
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and facilities. 
  • Accurately follow recipes and measurements. 
  • Fill different molds to predetermined weights. 
  • Monitor basic kitchen production processes, such as packaging and labeling in a precise manner. 
  • Maintain inventory and records on all materials and equipment. 
  • Visually inspect all finished products and verify package counts. 
  • Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.

Job Description 

The Packaging Technician is a highly organized and motivated individual that assists the Packaging Manager with day-to-day operations. Packaging technicians are hardworking, honest, and dependable members of our team. This position is responsible for compliantly packaging and labeling all cannabis products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be efficient and focused, and have a passion for working hands-on in the cannabis industry. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation and cleaning of boxes, jars, lids, and all equipment used for packaging. 
  • Packaging jars with various cannabis products.  
  • Capping and boxing of Carts. 
  • Operating and working on automated gummy pouching lines. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe packaging facility by proper disposal of waste and keeping work area in pristine condition. 
  • Maintaining strict inventory records of product, materials, and equipment. 
  • Record keeping of all details pertinent to packaging and inventory. 
  • Maintain, clean, sanitize, and properly store production tools and equipment. 
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities. 
  • Weighs or counts items for packaging and finished goods, to ensure conformance to company standards and verifies all product batches match the correct packaging and labels. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a tour friendly appearance in packaging area and all walking areas in between.

  • 2+ years' experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is highly desired. 
  • Experience and background in the cannabis industry a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media. 
  • Strong number skills and basic math. Experience with inventory is desired. 
  • Detail-orientated with an eye on process improvement and optimization.

The process operator is responsible for operating various machines used in the industrial process. Maintains and tracks all use of equipment and ensures equipment is operating within specific parameters. Troubleshoots process issues and ensures solutions are provided to remain operational.
