Tax Director 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role involves filing personal, trust, real estate, and management company returns, as well as managing personal property tax returns and depreciation schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file personal, trust, real estate, and management company tax returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of personal property tax returns.
  • Manage depreciation schedules for various assets.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual tax projections to assist in financial planning.
  • Stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms as needed to support tax activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive tax reports for management and stakeholders, including Personal Financial Statements.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and guidance to optimize tax positions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our facilities across Ann Arbor. This position is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond quickly to equipment issues, and assist with fabrication and janitorial tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment while performing preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose problems by observing equipment operation and dismantling machines to replace defective parts.
  • Inspect instruments and equipment to determine part replacement requirements.
  • Maintain inventories of parts and supplies and place orders as necessary.
  • Train production staff on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance support through clear communication and responsiveness.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing data on repairs and trends.
