Job Description

The process operator is responsible for operating various machines used in the industrial process. Maintains and tracks all use of equipment and ensures equipment is operating within specific parameters. Troubleshoots process issues and ensures solutions are provided to remain operational.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and controlling various types of machinery used in industrial processing
  • Monitor the performance of the equipment and ensure everything is operating within specified parameters
  • Collect data on process variables such as  temperature, pressure, flow rate, and chemical composition
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent breakdowns
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols to include wearing PPE and participating in safety training programs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, professional working environment 
  • Troubleshoot process issues to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Work well on a team collaborating with other operators, engineers, chemists and maintenance to achieve production targets and resolve issues
  • Adaptability to work on more than one process in multiple departments

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial processing position
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Positive attitude at work
  • Capable of working independently and making critical decisions
  • Excellent time management
  • Knowledge of basic math(addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals)

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk for 8 or more hours daily
  • Proficient use of hands, wrist and arms with continual motion
  • Capability to push, pull and reach objects
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more repeatedly
